We are looking for a hands-on and highly organized Buyer to join PMO team and take responsibility for both procurement activities and logistics operations within needed for products development.
This role combines supplier and purchasing management with end-to-end coordination of shipments and deliveries. The ideal candidate has experience working with suppliers, freight forwarders, and internal stakeholders, and is comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Procurement & Suppliers
- Manage day-to-day procurement activities, from purchase requests and samples through order placement and delivery.
- Issue and follow up on sample and purchase orders with local and international suppliers.
- Source new suppliers, receive samples, obtain and compare quotations.
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, payment terms, and other commercial conditions.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and monitor supplier performance.
- Build and manage suppliers database
- Follow up on open orders and proactively address delays, shortages, or other supply issues.
- Coordinate purchasing requirements with Operations, R&D, Finance, and other internal teams as needed.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and supplier information in the Netsuite ERP
Logistics & Shipments
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, including domestic and international deliveries.
- Work closely with freight forwarders, couriers, suppliers, and other logistics providers.
- Manage shipping documentation and ensure all required documents are complete and accurate.
- Track shipments from pickup through final delivery and proactively resolve delays or exceptions.
- Coordinate import/export activities and customs requirements where applicable.
- Compare freight options and costs and select appropriate shipping solutions based on cost, timing, and operational needs.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials and products while maintaining efficient logistics costs.
- Maintain accurate shipment records and provide internal stakeholders with status updates.
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in procurement and logistics, preferably within a developing / manufacturing company.
- Hands-on experience working with local and international suppliers.
- Experience managing international shipments and working with freight forwarders and logistics providers.
- Good understanding of purchasing processes, purchase orders, lead times, and supplier management.
- Familiarity with import/export processes and shipping documentation.
- Experience working with ERP systems.
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
- Strong written and verbal English.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities independently in a dynamic environment.
